10 Error 13203

This means that Genealogy Browser is already running on your computer. Only one session of Genealogy Browser can be running at a time. If you see a message saying that the browser is already running, this probably means that it is running behind this message on another page. If you cannot find the browser page, try ending the process for Z.exe in the Windows Task Manager or restart your computer.

To end the process in the Windows Task Manager:
1. Hit Alt+Ctrl+Delete and go to the Task Manager.
2. Go to the Processes tab.
3. End the process on Z.exe by clicking End Process.
4. Re-launch the genealogy browser.

11 Error 80016

This error is due to a proxy server. To correct this problem, you will need to edit the Z.ini file saved in your C:\WINDOWS folder. This will not harm your computer or affect other programs. This file is specific to Genealogy Browser. Place the following two lines at the bottom of the file and then save it.

[Settings]
proxy=0

(If you already have the [Settings] line, simply place the proxy=0 line below it.)
If you don’t know how to get to the file, here are some more instructions to help you:

1) Go to the C Drive on your computer (It might say "Local Disk: C", and you can get to it from clicking on My Computer from the desktop.)
2) In the WINDOWS folder, find a file that says Z.ini or Z.
3) Open the file by double clicking on the icon.
4) It will open up WordPad/Notepad. In the file, add to the very end of the information that you already have in the Z file the 2 lines of information as instructed above.
